HOUSING VISITS


Real estate agencies or homeowners may insist on a maximum of 2 people per visit and may even forbid the presence of children. In this case, the transferee will visit the accommodation with the real estate agent or the homeowner. Afterwards, if the property is of interest to the transferee, the consultant will then visit. French authorities may also request that the transferee and his/her family go alone for the remittance of their residency card file. If so, then virtual support will be provided.

 

Real estate agencies or homeowners may also ask visitors to take their shoes off before entering the accommodation.

DOCUMENT SIGNING

If possible, the transferee’s candidacy file should be sent to the agency or the homeowner digitally.

It will be up to the consultant to collect the lease draft beforehand to ensure that the residential lease complies with French regulations.

Once the file has been approved, the consultant will request electronic lease signing (if possible) or by post (privileged for individual homeowners).

ENTRY AND EXIT INSPECTION VISITS


At the request of certain estate agents, the inspection visits may be carried out without the tenant’s presence, especially for smaller accommodations.In this case, the inspection visit report would be sent to the consultant electronically for verification.Once validated, the consultant will have the document sent to the transferee for signature or through a power of attorney, as applicable.

KEY HANDOVER


The key handover may either take place at the real estate agency’s office or in the rented property directly. The consultant will accompany the transferee for this process.
